Possiby Impossible

Possiby Impossible

A Poem by Phoenix
"

A poem of impossibilities.

"

Is it possible?
Not to squint when the sun dazzles your eyes,
and to look at the moon and not breathe a sigh?

Is it possible?
Not to smile when a breeze touches your face,
and to find a new flavor and not want a taste?

Is it possible?
To look back and say I could forget it all,
and to look inside and not feel that wall?

Is it possible?
To remain open and always bare my soul,
and to take on anything just to fill an empty hole?

Is it possible…
To feel my arms around your neck and running down your spine,
and to have my eyes bore into yours as though you were always mine?

Is it possible?
That I'm…

indestructible?

invincible?

believable?

desirable?

. . .

No. I think it might possibly be

Impossible.

Sorry for that, but I'd rather have it here than in my head.

Amazing poem. Excellent structure, great word choice, great choices for reference. Leaving the examples open enough that they could be potentially challenged by others was genius on the part of your sub-conscious.

I have so many ideas and feelings, and they usually buzz around inside me wildly. When I can gather up enough of them, then a piece of writing emerges and I feel refreshed. more..
