Stupidity

Stupidity

A Poem by Phoenix
"

Stu-pid (stoo'pid)adj. 1. Lacking normal intelligence 2. Foolish; silly --Stu-pid'i-ty, pl. -ties, n.

"

The pen in my hands
represses all its demands,
it cries to go home,
be still, and left alone.
Because I grant it full leave
my thoughts it can never deceive,
and it’ll find this will always stand
because it’s controlled by my own hands.
So the pen continues its wail,
crying out “I will always fail”.

The hand I see with my own eye
will often do nothing but sigh.
Forever it clutches at my losses,
creating pains without their causes.
Yet it is nothing but complacent
and I can do nothing but face it.
And, though without a lack of inner peace,
I still look about for that wild beast.
It shall always rest and never be heard
-and so it promises with every word.

Those eyes you see on my face
turned away and gave up the chase,
turned to blacks and whites and shadows so
that I can turn and face my tireless foe.
Without defense, it’s fully trained
to hide the actions it hasn’t named
-and then to find it’s been worse than shamed.
Those colors in life it could bestow,
all those feelings I’ll never know…
while I look down at it below.

This mind sitting within my skull,
the doorway to my heart and soul,
to which I alone have gazed into -
though I’ve invited few in, it’s true.
Watching them pass by to and fro,
my sadness and doubts can’t help but grow,
giving rise to constant rejections,
of inaction and lame deceptions.
But how can I open this heavy door,
without losing my sense of life…and more?

Your sarcasm bites and you did not as much steal my poem as it's format and tools...this is very much your own poem. but i guess it shows why I speak romanian and you speak chinese.

About
I have so many ideas and feelings, and they usually buzz around inside me wildly. When I can gather up enough of them, then a piece of writing emerges and I feel refreshed. more..
