TogetherA Poem by PhoenixYou wait and you search, and suddenly there they are.
She pointed to the moon
Its full, promising gaze He said, You can't have that. She watched the water Its rushing, singing down a cliff He said, You can't have that. She blinked at the sunset Its warm reach, touching a cloud He said, You can't have that. She saw the bright sun Its trickle of light, spread through waving leaves He said, You can't have that. She sighed at the moon, The waterfall, the sunset, The light and the shadows That's beautiful, he said. © 2018 Phoenix |
