Blame

Blame

A Poem by Phoenix

I don't blame him for his thoughtlessness
His childishness, his selfishness
Or him for his carelessness.

I don't blame you for your abandonment
That horrible emptiness
Or that sad disappointment.

Because it's all me and my responsibility
All my choices and my feelings
All my downfalls and insecurities.

Too much energy spent for just a man
And I look in the mirror and think
Do better, you're worth a damn.

About
I have so many ideas and feelings, and they usually buzz around inside me wildly. When I can gather up enough of them, then a piece of writing emerges and I feel refreshed. more..
