Tears of a Melting Candle

Tears of a Melting Candle

A Poem by PassionWrite

Her shattered cries, her lonely fears
The days and nights of her repeating tears
Her body aches when the beatings end
Her soul each time gets harder to mend
She lives the nightmare each horrible day
Wishing there was some other way
In the evening she watches the sun fall from the sky
Thinking maybe it would be easier if she were to die
The beating start getting hard to handle
Slowly like a melting candle
She hates being so afraid
And The Emptiness won't seem to fade
One day the beatings left more than just pain
It left to stream a bloody stain
She knew it was time to get away
And there could only be one way
From the bridge to the water was a long way down
But anything was better than staying around
She raced to the Sea
Waiting to be free
The sun still sets in the sky
And she was so happy to finally die.

What a heartbreaking piece. The story telling is seamless littered with raw emotion and pain.
An image of what it's like to be in a hopeless place.

Solid piece of writing, rhyming scheme was very tight as well.
Ngā mihi maioha (warmest regards)
