Experiencing Summer

Experiencing Summer

A Poem by Flopp
"

A quick summary of summer - heh summary and summer

"
Experiencing Summer
The golden spears of the sun,
rip apart the clouds,
allowing the warmth and grace,
to please the awaiting crowds.
The smell of smoke and sizzling meat,
are carried by the hot air,
to charm every man, woman and child,
and any passers-by unaware.
The bright benevolent birds,
voice out the vibrant melody,
so children jump and dance,
whilst singing their travesty.
The smooth and creamy texture,
of vanilla ice cream,
melting in warm mouths,
fabricate white smiles which gleam.
Now as the days get shorter,
and we wave goodbye to summer,
it's time to get warm,
and welcome winter - the newcomer.

This is so nice...makes it hard to appreciate that newcomer. Great imagery...easy to picture myself there. Excellent 'summary of summer'...I like that too...lol
