Blink and you'll miss me,
Stood on the brink
Are we, bringing banks down,
Dollar falling to crumble, crashing,
Standing on the edge are we.
Then why are we still standing?
She's the saddened, sorrow
songbird, I'm the one hit wonder,
Feeling the wind strike us, are we.
Out on the cliff, are we.
There through it all, is he.
Unshakeable; I know he is
Unshakeable; I know I am
as you're stood on the
edge of eternity, under
all humanity, you are
standing firm.
I love this piece, I can definately relate to its message. Even though your both on the edge, you won't fall because your relationship is so strong, you can sustain anything that comes to shake you off the edge. Love the meaning and the images you create here. Really like the lines "Feeling the wind strike us, are we. Out on the cliff, are we. There through it all, is he." Good write, I enjoyed it.
I liked this. You are 'on the edge' yet you show how unshakeable your relationship is. It leaves room to ponder, but shows exactly what it needs to. It shows that when the world seems to be crashing down on us, we can still be firm and it helps when another one is there to get us through. The flow worked well and I enjoyed reading this!
Standing on the edge yet at the same time there seems to be much hope and longing in this poem. A moving write. Thank you for sharing your talent.
