Half Way House

Half Way House

A Poem by Jaffa Forbes
"

half my curtains closed.

"

There is this.
Half way house.
That gives me.
problems in.
The morning
still. I'm half
way there.
To anywhere.
Where that.
Wandering
light.
Is shining.

That is my friend.
The half way house.
Is your friend.
Is my friend to.

See you with.
Half drawn
curtains.
Half a door.
A green stable
door.

To know you with.
Half your work.
Done.
Half your eyes.
shut.
Half your grave.
dug.

To know you with.
Half your life.
Lived.
Half your time.
Killed.

I know my other half
will save me though.
Will save me. So.
In the end.
I'll make it through.

I felt that the word arrangement was wonderful and made a rhythm grow on me.
I absolutely felt a connection to this.

A terrifically succinct yet meaningful writing! Expressing your thoughts without the mundanely common style of writing that I see a thousand times; you have a unique and original voice. Definately keep writing!!

How uplifting in the end - not what you would expect from the title...may your other half ceratinly pull you through any travails you may have. A lovely, succinct write. Thank you.
