The Infinite Lonely

The Infinite Lonely

A Poem by Jaeda
"

Strung up and above on the strings of highs and lows. This is how it was, and to some extent, how it still is.

"
I heard it put like this once:
"To the edge of the universe. Then a billion light years beyond that. Not even the faintest starlight. So alone in the dark. Knowing I'll never come back home."
Or something of the sort.
That's death, apparently.
The Infinite Lonely.
The Silent Universe.
Death.
I used to want to die.
I remember.
I remember not telling anyone.
I remember being stuck in
The Infinite Lonely.
The Silent Universe.
(Which I can now quaintly name
Podunk, Texas.)
But then, I was plucked out of that black.
Like my safety harness had just snapped,
Putting pressure on my gut.
Kind of felt like...
Butterflies.

I think I might have written this one for love. Believe it or not.

i like the tone of this. i like the way it progresses, and looks at all the emotions quietly. feels complete, and the last line is nothing but hope. a smile made out of letters.

I'm a pretty depressing writer, if I'm to be honest. But I do love comments from anyone willing to read my poems, and I do try to review any commentator's works, too. I don't figure my background is t.. more..
