You gave me your heart; I promised I’d keep it safe.

Many things happened that summer,

Many things we’ll never forget.

It’s the first time I saw you, the first time we met.

 

It pains me to think, of I time without you

You became my world, and my world became new.

You bit my lower lip; I looked you in the eye.

We laughed until we cried,

 

Held hands along the beach, we danced along the sand.

Watched the fireworks that night,

That night we fell in love, that night we joined together.

I knew back then as I know now,

 

Our love will be forever.

I’m watching you now, you’re as beautiful as ever.

Cries coming from the crowd,

As you’re lowered into the ground,

 

I tremble, I can’t contain the way I feel.

A tear escapes my eye, as I begin a flooded cry,

For today is the day we’re here to say goodbye.

I’ll treasure every memory, forever you’ll live in me.
