Funny how people change,

Funny how we thought it wouldn’t happen.

Funny how as children we think we are safe.

Funny how we trusted everyone,

Funny how there’s no escape.

Funny how we all grow up,

Funny how we think we can change the world.

Funny how dreams, hardly ever come true

Funny how we continue to do what we do

Funny how we laugh about nothing at all

Funny how we function when we need to run away

Funny how I never seem to know what to say

Funny how our friends never seem to be true

Funny how when it comes to you I have no Clue

It's a very amazing piece of work, filled with truth. It's sad really, how some people hope for so much only to lose it all. Today, things seem so much more complicated don't they? And as the days go on, it will be harder and harder. Just need to push on. I really do like this poem, and it's really got me thinking.

I really liked how you repeated "Funny how" in each line, it really gave it attitude as I read it.

Funny, but I really like this! The repetition works well here to convey some interesting and truthful points. I like the simplicity of it and it has a good flow. As Hillary hinted earlier, it sounds better reading out loud than just looking at the words but I wouldn't change it. It's great just as it is. Keep writing - especially more like this! Well done.
