Mirror

 

When I look in the mirror

I see the real me,

I see a girl, who’s confused,

Someone who’s alone,

I see sadness, through my eyes.

I see a life full of secrets,

A life full of lies,

A world full of possibilities,

Which I chose to ignore,

I see someone innocent,

Not one with the label ‘w***e’

When you look into my eyes,

What do you see?

I bet you recognise, a different side

Of me.

I have a different perspective concerning mirrors. Mirrors do lie, dear. See, when you raise your right hand, the mirror will show you your left hand up. This might be wrong but this is one of the beliefs in Japan. Anyway, your poem is well-constructed with the descriptions that fit the title coming out as creative.
