Stabbing my own pale skin,

What kind of messed up world do we live in?

I hate my life, I hate everything in it..

Clamping my tongue so I cannot scream it.

Why am I so bloody worthless?

Why is the standard so close to perfect?

I deserve all my pain.

I truly am the one to blame.

this person sounds like she's in the middle of an anxiety attack. the desperation comes through. she blames herself when she shouldn't. she's hurt. you don't deserve your pain. you just have to learn to cope with it or let the ones who care about you the most help you get through this. a cry for help. great poem.

i have a way with assuming each poem is personal. maybe because thats how I write. I have been in this place before and i am grateful that isn't so much today....
I think it is the character in the poem who sets the standar so high that they can't win. Because the world is rather screwed up.......
we all have a part, more people could own it.....

Taking responsibility for your actions is admirable. Taking pot shots at yourself is never worth it. Learn the lesson and become stronger because of it. Eff standards, we live life on our own terms and learn lessons at our own pace. Sometimes you just have to let yourself be so that you can find that you are worth more than anybody else can put a value on. Trust me, there are others who see how much more you are worth, and it will be much, much more than you can give yourself credit for. I can tell you if you need help.

This is truly heartbreaking. The emotion overflows and pours into me. It wraps my brain in images, emotions and memories from the past. It reminds me why I write and why I know I have to show people my inner fight. This is a wonderful though short piece. Great job. Stay strong.
