So tell me why you aren’t consistent

Tell me why you can’t pick the best

When it comes to men,

You want the one who’ll break your heart.

You choose the worst, and they live up to their standard.

Why go for the bad boy?

When the good boy is right next to you?

Where he’s been all along.

Yes mam, this is sooo true. Though the truth is we ladies have no idea what we want. We go for the bad boys because they are unpredictable, and we seem to think it will make life better yet in reality it is only more stress. I think I finally have my good boy on lock and I will be keeping him for a long long time :D Great write I love it

I really like this poem. It states a truism which afflicts many people. Perhaps a desire for excitement and an adrenalin rush prompts such relationships. Maybe we really should be as careful picking our associates as when selecting choice fruit and ice cream.

I think I liked this so much because I can honestly relate to it quite well. Not to place myself upon some pedestal or anything, but I feel like the "good guy" that is always lurking in the background and never gets a proper chance. Even when given a chance, it's hard for me to pull the trigger if you will for fear of being rejected. Which is why I think many women resort to the stereotypical "bad boy." Great poem and written very well.

Yes, i'm pretty sure alot of the female population can relate to this, but sometimes the good guy isnt always there and sometimes they turn bad, but most times its not the case. you definitely capture what we girls want :) very good write.
