Miss Popularity

Miss Popularity

A Poem by SuicidePact.

I’m the leader of the pack

The wearer of the skirt

Girl who fear me

Girls who want to be me.

I have admirers from a far,

I don’t even know who they are.

They’ll never find the courage,

To tell me that they love me,

They wish they were above me.

People say I’m a dream,

I’m the leader of the school team.

But nobody takes the time,

Don’t want to know what’s on my mind.

Is it worth being the on top?

Worth having no real friends?

I don’t want the perfect picture,

Just want you to see me for who I am.

Is there anybody out there?

Anyone willing to be my friend?

I love this take on the popular girl. So many friends but so scared and alone on the inside.

I really like the inner meaning of this poem.

I like this very much, everyone thinks of the "popular girl" as being so perfect and content. But this is not always the case, and you express that well here.

great perspective. i never thought of it that way i always kinda just went grrrrrrrrr i don't like you. "Is there anybody out there?
Anyone willing to be my friend?" good way to break down the wall between the reader and writer/character. looking forward to more of your interesting takes on things like i always do.
