The poem was great until the last line, it just didnt flow with the rest of the poem. I like the concept and I like your train of thought. The last line is powerful and would work well in another piece. " All is fair in love and war" We cannot possibly ever love if we have never hated. They are opposites and in order to have one you have to witness the other. " There is a fine line between love and hate" Sometimes you love so much you begin to hate and on the other side if you hate for so long you secretly love.
Oh, there's love SP....love for friends, family and comrades, not to mention country and freedom.
We the people let (allow) the select and many times the "not select" few dictate who is to live and die by waging wars in the name of religion, conquest and power and sometimes oil and freedom...The only justification of war...in my feeble mind..is to protect yourself from the aggressors.
I can feel your trepidation and fear of a world without love...but as long as there is one person ready to give it....it will never cease to be...Like a raging forest fire, it can spread beyond yor wildest dreams and expectaions.
Terrific honest and heartfelt write, SB

There is an inner strength displayed among the hardships. The simplicity of topic allows the reader to relate in their own way, what constitutes their views of hate, their wars, their struggles. Nicely done. The bold font adds to the drama of the piece.
