Everybody has a secret,

Something they don't wish to share.

Perhaps if you knew it, you'd stop and you'd stare

A best friend would keep your's, until you're enemies

Then suddenly she'd have to key to the end of me.

Secrets can be dangerous, be careful who you trust.

Because one day it may come back and bite you on the butt.

I liked the approachable and simple language, it suited the tone of the poem. Like a common saying being recited to someone. On a point of constructive criticism, yours doesn't require an apostrophe as 'your' already indicates possession.

The sentiment is something that we all acknowledge, and I believe it necessitates two responses. One, to keep certain things to oneself out of fear of discovery. But this I think is unhealthy and does not allow someone to truly be themselves. The other response is to have no secrets, to live your life openly and unabashedly - to be hated or loved for who and what you are without exception. The choice is always our own of course.

Regardless I enjoyed this little piece, and look forward to reading more of your work.
