Messages on the Wall

Messages on the Wall

A Poem by SuicidePact.

Messages scrawled upon the walls of a bathroom stall,

Gossip and expressions of hatred toward those who are considered friends,

So i sit there for a while,

As I take in the words that surround me,

Expected to find something that describes myself,

But there is nothing,

not one small mention.

So I grab my pen from my pocket,

So when the next girl enters,

The big black permanent message she'll find will read:

'Jenna, that b***h You'd better not cross'

Well, our minds keep on turning while we're sitting there! When there is something to read it makes the moments pass with more interest! And how fascinating are human beings - even their scrawls on a lavatory wall tells us of lives filled with loving and laughing, with joys and sorrows, with warmth and cold hatred... and I was amused to think of you venting your spleen with such energy, walking away satisfied, as the waters flushed behind you...

I remember reading those messages on the stall wall..I always tried to figure out who those people were and if I saw what was written about them inside them... funny thing though is that once written then EVERYONE had an opinion as too what they thought. Then you loose the idea in the first place...even "Steve is hot" type thing...everyone wrote an opinion about Steve etc... I think that your take on that one is great...you were one of those that strayed from the regular to the statement firm and sure ones. This poem is unique in its own way...Bravo to you... :)

This is a wildly cool poem! I don't think i've ever heard of someone writing about the self on the stall wall, just so they can get a message about themselves heard! It's an ingenious idea for a poem, the last line clinching the deal and giving me a good chuckle. Great Ink!

OK I admit it, I once wrote on a bathroom stall, I actually tried to correct some bad grammar..is that funny or crazy?
Nice poem though, great emotion

A great example of coherent poetry with brilliant execution.
I wish I was this laconic.

You are a great talent for insights into the teenage doom and gloom, I find it playful. Definately edgy and contemporary, I mean your name is SuicidePact, and your work fits that well.

There is something about the girl from Australia...she sees things and writes so well.

So refreshing to read something that is not a cliche'. Original voice.

I always find it interesting to read the writing in the bathrooms.. Is that weird?
Anyway, I like this a lot! It's sort of emotional and yet.. different. Great work.
