The big Kahuna

The big Kahuna

A Chapter by SuicidePact.
"

Introfucing Kaetalita's father for the first time.

"

At the news of his daughters death, Zee took a calm approach, he knew if he didn't his emotions would catch up on him which would result him into an emotional wreck, just as it did at the death of his own wife many years ago. Zee also felt for his 'Son in Law' Tera, who had become like a son to him over the years, Zee could imagine how hard this is hitting Tera, the two shared a huge emotional bond that Zee never before believed existed.

Dusting off the bookshelf in kaetalita's old room, the collection of her old journals and diaries are in amongst the other novels in her collection, Zee knows that if he starts to read any of them he will end up in tears, so instead he carefully places them into a plastic bag with the intention of passing them on to Tera.

All the distant relatives are soon to be arriving for the funeral but for the meantime Zee rests on the bed of Kaetalita's.

When there is a knock on the front door, it startles Zee to the point of him actually falling off the bed, Stashed underneath are a collection of parenting and baby naming books.

"I'm coming!" he yells to the unknown visitor, as he makes his way down to the entrance way of his house. To his delight, it isn't any of his crazy relatives, it's Tera.

"They released me this morning" he quickly fills him in, on his way to the living room, Zee shuts the front door and follows Tera.

They take a seat in front of the television, although it is not switched on, perfect time for conversation, too bad the two men are sitting in silence.

"She was pregnant" Tera announces breaking the awkward silence they had going on.

"I know"

"She told you?" Tera asks confused.

"No I just found her baby books stashed under her bed" he chickles.

"Oh, Right, Well that's all i really came to tell you, unless you wanted to discuss something?"

"Tera, i have something for you." Zee tells him, hopping of the couch to go and get the plastic bag from Kaetalita's room.

"Here, these are her diaries, she'd want you to have them, Read them, store them do whatever you would like with them, but don't destroy them"  Zee makes Tera promise not to destroy them before he was allowed to eat. As soon as Tera was gone, Zee felt alone.

Nice! Well I kind of found the encounter too short. Plus, you really feel bad when you're daughter dies. Zee seems almost emotionless. It would be nice if he could shed a tear or two when he sees his daughter's old pictures and remembers the time when she was young. A recollection of some good(and even some bad)memories would do wonders to this chapter. Hope that helps!
