War Paint.A Poem by SuicidePact.Iv'e been writing songs lately, but I'm not too sure about them. Let me know what you think??War Paint They tell stories like a tattoo, Reminders of a time I didn’t have you. The strength I hope inside, The scars I used to hide, They’re my battle scars, Like war paint.
I used to think it was weakness, Falling down to the ground, Sobbing was the sound. I didn’t know it could change. Maybe I was too afraid.
The lines over my arms, Myself I used to harm, There’s nothing poetic in the act, Any who say different, They just don’t know the facts.
I’ve got a war inside, I’ve got sleeves to hide, But I know I don’t have to, They’re no different to a tattoo. They’re reminders of a time, When I didn’t cross the line.
You mightn’t understand, But it’s all I feel inside, There’s no reason for me to hide. There is no point living a lie. There’s no reason to play the blame game, It’s my war paint that keeps me sane. © 2015 SuicidePact.Reviews
