VenusA Poem by Ich bin das GiftmädchenVenus let her guard down The tigers were on the prowl Venus threw her sword down Shrugged out of her shroud Seducing the senses Teasing the crowd Laying down to expose her skin to the blue sky Venus was asleep On a cliff of rock The tigers hovering over her The knights watching in shock She bared her throat to the ravenous cats Exposing her soul Her being Venus was a martyr Imagine that The knight came in a elephant balloon Venus lay bloody and torn Her body exposed Her soul an open wound It was too late for the knight He wept for the loss Venus sacrificed herself Her life was the cost The people watched as the tigers devoured her soul They disappeared in red flames Leaving the onlookers in despair Venus gave herself to them
She sacrificed herself for the greater good. The knights wept The blue sky wept Venus sacrificed herself for the greater good The greater good of love
