Laying to Rest

Now I lay thee down to rest

On a bed of rocks

In your Sunday best

 

On a bed of rocks

With a blanket of dirt

Cold to the world

No longer to hurt

 

Eternally yours

Until death do us part

The flowers wilting

Death was an art

 

Now I lay thee down so still

Blood dried up

Such an easy kill

 

The night was warm

The air was sweet

I came in like a hurricane

Knocking you off your feet

 

A smile so seductive

Eyes so cold

Souls singing

Eternity to grow old

 

The taste of lust

A taste so true

My darling I’m sorry

Sorry I killed you

 

There was no control

Once the game was done

Our souls forever

Bound as one

 

Now I lay thee down

So peaceful and serene

No longer will society

Hear your screams

 

With pillows of rocks

Your casket locked

No more will you see

That you were the death of me
