When the Lights go Down and the Curtain FallsA Poem by Ich bin das GiftmädchenA little look at stage fright
When the lights go down When the silence strikes The whispers of haunts Scream into the night The only sound Is the beating of my heart Thump Thump A sickening thud in hollow ears Haben Sie nicht Angst Wenn die Lichter unten gehen Lächeln Schluck männlich euer Befürchtung The light will shine Once again You are never alone They are with you my friend The ghosts of the past The roar of the crowd The blinding lights You made your ancestors proud When the lights go down It is finally the end Rejuvenated Peaceful Only to do it all again The life of a star A star so bright Facing the sea of faces Can be a real fright Remember When the lights go down And the curtain falls The show is over Fear can no longer grip you With her oppressive walls No longer will you feel Like a lost child Staring out at the faces Filled with smiles © 2009 Ich bin das GiftmädchenAuthor's Note
