Life as a Potato

Life as a Potato

A Poem by Jadon96
"

I was challenged by a friend to write a poem about a potato whenever he didn't believe that I could write a poem about anything. Well, here it is!

"

In this field the wind blows,

As the stalks sway with the flow.

In this garden, the best we grow.

The almighty grand potato, here we go.

This is it, the best of them all

To live out life until the fall.

As I wait here, I grow so old

During the night, ever so cold.

When the thunder in the background rolls.

After the  rain comes and sows,

The thief in the night came and stole

As he did ever so troll.

He comes and takes our souls,

Taking one by one, row by row.

This is the end of life as a potato

Where will I go, I will never know.

About
I believe that everyone should share their writings. When someone writes, it shows more and more about the true person he or she is. We should share ourselves and be open to one another. That is a tru.. more..
