Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Jadon96

I feel you in my heart,

it's tearing me apart.

I guess it's just not meant to be true,

and there's nothing else we can do.

I thought we had something together,

but no, I guess love doesn't last forever.

I'll have to move on, the wind will sweep me away.

Because nothing is here, all is gone. So why should I stay?

It's not you, it's not me.

It's just that it's not meant to be.

One day love will show itself,

but for now it's hidden underneath its stealth.

I asked from the start,

until death do us part?

I guess that was never true,

and now there's only one thing left, move on and find someone new.

From here it's a fresh new beginning.

Waking up to the sound of birds singing.

I’ll start a brand new life,

and here soon I'll have me a beautiful wife.

We'll begin a new beginning,

starting with that shiny ring.

We'll have kids someday and grow old,

Leaving behind a story to be told.

I can't wait to find that one for me,

sitting here thinking about it under this grand ole tree.

But that's the story of my life and me,

the rest I'll just have to wait and see.

About
I believe that everyone should share their writings. When someone writes, it shows more and more about the true person he or she is. We should share ourselves and be open to one another. That is a tru.. more..
