Class of 2014A Poem by Jadon96This is a poem I wrote for my high school class when I graduated. It started so slow, just like the leaves blowing through the
breeze. It was something different, none of us knew what
to even do.
There we stood standing still, frozen like the
forest trees.
People passed and began to laugh because we had
not a clue.
Nervous and scared, beginning to wander
throughout the twisted path,
Looking up at all the faces, only to see everyone
staring.
Soon building up anger and wanting to show your
awful wrath.
Instead, you walk off with only a bit of swearing.
Eventually, it became a little easier, building up
courage and learning the chime.
Finally at last, we are half way through
This is where some begin to shine.
A little bit longer, and we'll again not know what
to do
Trudging through the worst part of it,
Just looking ahead, waiting until the end.
It is here, finally at last the torch is lit.
Nevermore to fight, no more to contend.
Now not wanting to let it end, its going too fast.
Almost time to let go and begin to explore.
Start planning the future and remembering the past.
So let’s free our hands and drift to shore.
We'll reach the shore and stand up from these
waters,
Beginning anew, washing away the distraught.
Not wanting to let go of our sisters and brothers.
Some are close, some are not.
Here we are--such a great family.
Each of us together, all of us getting along
Stretching the limits past their extremity.
It can be seen, this one is ever so strong
As with all families, none will be forgotten.
We will remember each other as a team,
Shouting victory to the ultimate win.
Because this is the class of twenty fourteen.

When someone writes, it shows more and more about the true person he or she is. We should share ourselves and be open to one another. That is a tru.. more..Writing
