Melancholy

Melancholy

A Poem by Jade Stone

That one moment
That sliver of hope
That sometimes makes you think your ok
Like a dash of of colour on a beautiful
Blank canvas.....

But you over analyze it,
Claw at it when you realize
I don't deserve this
I don't deserve to feel loved by the people around me and it knocks you on your knees and that vibrant dash of hope Is gone and replaced by something ugly and bitter.....

Hope is "Like a dash of of colour on a beautiful/Blank canvas" - this is a nice line. It continues into a great image of overanalyzing that dash of hope and clawing at the canvas, highlighting a self-destructive tendency. Keep up the good writing.
