Chapter One---Esther's POVA Chapter by +*ANA*+
Matthew walked into Esther's chamber, she sighed as he sat on her golden chest at the end of her bed. Every time Mathhew came to her it meant another mission. She hated going out on October 19th, she wasn't exactly sure why. She always felt weird, like something bad was about to happen.
"I have a mission for you Esther," he said calmly, his voice sending instant respect for him into her. He was a Seraphim, one of those who see clearest and also one of the few angels closest to God. He'd seen the Lord before Jesus's death, and was in rank to see Adam be created. Yet he had never been human, he'd been immediately put into rank for a purpose. "Today? Can't it wait?" Esther asked. "No, it cannot wait. We've put it off for to long and it needs to be handled now." He said standing. "You mean Azrial again? I've tried to fight her before and I always end up bleeding. Matthew you know how bad this day is for me. Why can't you get somebody else to do it?" She asked persistently, she was being selfish, yet she didn't even notice it herself. He glared at her with a questionable gaze. He'd always wondered how Esther had gotten to become a Cherubim. Cherubims are the angels with the fullness of knowledge. Esther still didn't understand what knowledge she was best at. "Are you defying God's orders?" Matthew demanded. "No! Of course not!...I just...I can't fight her again..." He started moving towards her, his wings hovering over his head. "Esther, you will obey the Lord." She sighed, agreeing. "Fine, Matthew. If I come back bleeding, don't blame me."
He raised his hand and a sword formed in his palm. "We do not want you bleeding again. This is for you, and it should be strong enough to defeat Azrial. It's called Commandments. It defeats all, nothing evil can touch it. Go now. Good luck Esther." She took the sword from his hand and imediatly he vanished. She closed her eyes and searched for Azrial's aura. This particular searching was a power possesed only by angels. She suddenly got sick to her stomach, and her head started throbbing. She'd found her. Azrial's mind was a horrible thing to be in. Esther closed his golden eyes and let herself flow back into the human world. Azrial was walking around a park, stalking a pair of in-love teens. The two of them sat on a park bench, burrying they're faces in each other possessively. Azrial smiled a twisted smile and planned on forcing the unaware teens to start a quarrel. She was about to attack, her sinning sword in hand, she charged towards them. Esther flowed infront of her and striked at her throat. Azrial jumped back and hissed like an angry feline. Then she say who was holding the sword to her throat and laughed, her head tilted back like she couldn't believe it. "Ahh, look who it is. Ready to suffer?" She chuckled. Esther laughed as well, her teeth gritted, and her sword held high. It was long and sharp, with a paper thin blade that could slice through anything. It was a beautiful silver color, yet it was a thousand times stronger than silver, and it irradiating a soft blue light. Azrial's eyes grew wide in shock. Esther had the Commandments. She stared her down for a moment, trying to waver the risk. "It's not worth it you bit---" She vanished before she finished her sentence. Esther looked at her sword in confusion as she turned to see a man with long straight black hair and deep crimson eyes. He had large bat-like wings, and he clearly wasn't human. The worst part was how he stared at her. A mix of hate and confusion. © 2011 +*ANA*+Author's Note
