Hanging by a Thread

Hanging by a Thread

A Poem by Jade Leilani

Hanging by a thread
Swaying in the wind
Not sure where I'm going
Don't know where I've been

Tried to make decisions
But they fell apart
Each day surviving
But breaking into parts

Parts that sometimes lead
Parts that sometimes follow
Parts that sometimes love
Parts that sometimes sorrow

Fractured into pieces
Now unknown to me
Fractured into pieces
That only some can see

What will happen
When the thread is ripped
Where will it all go
When the wind has stripped

But for now
I know...

I'm hanging by a thread
Swaying in the wind
Not sure where I'm going
Don't know where I've been

A very good write with nice flow. enjoyed the thought process. Almost a song.

If it's a poem, I like the message, but the delivery is a bit off. I mean, I've been there. I know how this feels.
It's a bit repetitious, and the meter has me swaying my head. Maybe that was the point, that I start bobbing back and forth as I read it. Is it a song? In that case, good job.
