Angel's Touch

My whole body is shaking,

The things I have done leave my broken soul quaking.

I let the terrible pain overcome me,

The Devil’s job I have used to set me free.

Nothing can save me from myself,

No matter how many I use from my shelf.

The shelf of the ones I have hurt,

The ones who came to me when I needed comfort.

But I just shove them away,

Even though it causes them and I great dismay.

Suddenly, as all hope seems lost,

A beautiful ray of light I was tossed.

His name was Lake,

And he came to cure my ache.

He had the Angel’s Touch,

That one thing that could frighten me so much.

I did not want to have that love,

That thing that came from above.

Just then one touch from this angel healed my heart,

I knew in that moment that we would never be apart.

Although I might never be healed,

The love we share will never be concealed.

I love this angel with my whole heart and such,

This boy that had me at the Angel’s Touch.
