HeartStrings

HeartStrings

A Poem by Sarah
"

My very first little bonfire poem! This was written for my friend Jason who, along with his guitar, was also the inspiration. Play on my friend!

"

From his heart grow strings of gold,
A truer lie was never told,
Sweet notes fall from a pearl'd hold,
Unto sheet music therefore unfold.

No song of might and silken sheets,
Only breath and sky and treats,
Marshmallow'd sticky succulent sweets,
As fire lights benighted streets.

A strum of song to fill the air,
Heart-lifting softly sans a care;
So play a heartstring, and pinpoint there,
How aesthetic this- a world so fair.

I'm glad that you specified that you wrote this to the tune of guitar.
it has a very sing-song kind of quality :)
