If Only We Were Given A Voice...A Poem by JadeHatred. A racist people. A discriminatory
place. A segregated
‘community’. Freedom. Hopeful, luminous. Demand, fight,
conquer. As strong as an army
we stand If only we could have
a voice, that’s all we want. Racism. An assembled attack. A large group. A whole community of ignorance. Hope. Powerful,
open-minded. Debate, reason,
solve. Sadly we stand with
our heads hung low, As silent as a mute
we are forced. If only we could have
a voice, a voice is equality, and that’s all we want. Instead, there is the
flaming rage that is the fire that is Searing my interior. Righteousness. A false entitlement. A controlling power. A self-assigned
power. What’s so wrong with
us? Determination. Strong, fearless. Stand tall, stand
brave, stand proud. As determined as an
army at war, we stand. If only we were given
a voice, We wouldn’t have to
fight for one. © 2013 JadeAuthor's Note
