Drive

Drive

A Poem by Jacqueline Murray
"

6 November 2012

"
A car
enters a tunnel
like
a knife through hide
and poisons the air
with
amalgamide.

Driving through a wall
of cones
and
plundering
cement,

slipping 'neath
the lake above whose
water
it ferments.
