Repentances

Repentances

A Poem by Jacqueline Murray
"

7 September 2012

"
Regret, remorse,
repentance for

no more
than a life (half-)lived in

sin
devout sacrilege of
the heart,

smarting,
bulbous welt

pelted with whys, the
tumultuous self,
no long' a self, but basin
