Before my Birth

Before my Birth

A Poem by Jacqueline Murray
"

13 May 2012

"
I was stillborn before my birth,
bruised fresh from the
womb

Mother borne me purple
before my birth
and black
as I borne defeat

--Snatched from "my" nil and
into the paper bag!
Come, come drawing me from the vapored lakes--
I am airborne

against the will I do not have,
for none is granted to clayless statues
--rather, figurines
trinkets, bobbles, I know but
say they idols
(say shes idols)
say I of them, heretics
