Crows are my thoughtsA Poem by JacqMariesaw an image of crows on a chimney while driving, chanted some lines to myself til I got home and wrote this in 5 minutes..My spare thoughts are the many crows that gather at the spout of the red brick chimney, at the library in my sleepy, winter town
the love I still hold is the warmth that rises from the chimney to warm their closed eyes tucked deep into their chest feathers, from the morning fire gone dull
their dark feathers against the white and the red of brick. Their warm blooded bodies seek the heat as they cuddle into the brick.
My thoughts take in the warmth and caw when a winter wind blows their comfort aside. The dark birds fly in sequence with one another, like little pixels of an image.
My thoughts scatter! Caw, caw! The snow shifts off the roof top, they escape the freezing white flakes that would surely cover them. The dark pixel crows race to warmth, anywhere, soon, and in a moment, they will be huddled together again. © 2013 JacqMarieAuthor's Note

I find myself very detached from my reality and especially my relationships there in. I've always been this way, daily life can feel like a movie and I'm .. more..Writing
