Exit

Exit

A Poem by JacqMarie
"

clinging to a sinking ship

"

He chairs me so that the long length muscles of the day cannot lend me away, from him.

His voice scratches at my feet and squirms in my plans. I have nothing in my voice to tame him, nothing I can hand him or take away.

He's left lingering in my bed as I wake.

The exit between us is a cautionary tale we tell each other each evening

I remember this poem. From a new perspective, I feel like it needs more, another couple lines to fill us in. That opening line is great, though. And so is the rest of the poem.....one more line, that's my gut feeling. And I'm wrong a lot.

About
I write to feel better, or to feel something. I find myself very detached from my reality and especially my relationships there in. I've always been this way, daily life can feel like a movie and I'm .. more..
