Heartbreak

Heartbreak

A Chapter by Jcarson237

I dig my fingers into my breastbone
Slowly, the flesh begins to quish at my fingertips
a drop of blood pools arouund my index finger
I press harder, causing the skin to tear open under my hands
I feel the bones in my grasp now, nd squeeze, causing them to fracture
The fissure begins to open inside of my chest while more blood pours out of the wound
I open it up and  grab hold of the throbbing mass inside my torso
And I squeeze, pulling it away from my body.
Outstretched in my hand, I let it go
And it lands on the floor in a puddle, with a dissatisfying thud.
And you turn and walk away, empty handed
