Just thinking

Just thinking

A Story by Jcarson237

So, how do my fellow writers plan what they produce? do you have a method? A reason or rhyme? This is meant to be interactive, I'm genuinely curious what your process looks like.
For me, I really can't plan. My best pieces come to life when I just close my eyes and write whatever comes to mind.
And I'm happy with a lot of what comes out, but It also is a burden at times. I've been trying to write an autobiography for probably... 8 or 9 years now and I just can't seem to get it all to come together. There is so much and I keep trying to tell the whole story, but I can never seem to get through it all, or I can't remember certain details.
I've considered removing some of the larger events in my life just to make room for things I think my readers would better appreciate, but again.. I've been stuck
So for those of you who write non-fiction, or hell, even fiction, if it's planned and structured, how do you manage to do it?

I write fiction, and although I don't plan every detail, I do come up with a basic plan.
Ideas for stories just randomly come to mind. I spend some time thinking it through until I know what I want it to be about. First, I come up with the beginning and the end, believing those two to be the most important parts of a story.
Once I have the beginning and the end, I think about filler, which I usually just write from the top of my head.

Yes for the most part I pick a topic to write about well I won't say most part. There is a lot of time where stuff just jump in my head and I wrote it down.

I'm also new, so... but sometimes, the best actually comes from your heart/mind. After writing everythi g that comes, using your feeling, then you can use your head to arrange and rearrange. I think if I goes the other way, you might lose the touch on exactly what you want to write .like Hebe said, don't give up... goodluck

I go back and forth on different pieces... you don't have to concentrate on just one piece.... this site helps a lot... it helps you create, by entering the contests and the reviews are very encouraging too.
Once you start writing about different things, the ideas start flowing again! Good luck, don't give up..
