God Is An AstronautA Poem by YacobTihsteaShort and simple?I am the flesh of my father, Begging to be born again, but only with the best attributes.
I am the blood of my mother, Waiting to be born again, but only with the purest love.
I am the dirt of the earth, And so I am kind to the world, and in return, I am destroyed.
There will always be bark here, Rough, off-color, and chipped from the natural reactions of life.
There will always be skin here, Several shades of the same apricot color, awaiting the lacerations that make us human.
There will always be want here, Necessary to know you are living, and conquered when you know you have lived.
