The last moments of some one who bit off more than they could chew.

Curb Stomp

by ~jacobmann

Teeth

on the pavement

your disfigured apology

forming

a wet note on the sidewalk

blood flowers bloom

spelling your doom

painting

a canvas of crunch

spilling crimson relief

a blood churned message

the broken note

letting your snapped jaw

--and limp gnaw

do all the talking

mangled jowls

and

ribbons of gums and debris

shredded confetti of a petty

excuse of a chafe

you call a face

limp

under my shoe

count teeth

upon the concrete

face plant the fact

it's over

taste the act

of my fight back

I almost miss

your frightful squirming

the futile thrashings

of a lost cause

a cry in the void

the wasted worry

sinking with my foot

my rubber soul

meeting yours

Thank you for biting the curb
