Bathtub Rituals

Bathtub Rituals

A Poem by Jacob Brine

Once a week

I slump and slide

Below this reflective surface

Mixed with lotions and oils

That caresses my skin

And soothes my Soul

While the warmth

Slowly seeps

Into my essence

Revitalizing my mind

Filling it with

A soft sort of commotion

And I sit there

Letting it all in

Allowing myself to let go

Of this desire

Setting myself free

For just an hour

No pen

No paper

Just me
