A Hard Lesson Learned

A Hard Lesson Learned

A Poem by Jacob Brine

I'll probably run out of money

because you just ate and ate

I'll probably not have a home

because you took this one as your own

and never stirred from your den

or made any money

while mine just went right out the door

I'll probably lose a friend

because you took advantage

of the one who lost almost everything

just to fill your selfish goal

of not wanting to go back

home
