A Description Of Faith

A Description Of Faith

A Poem by Jacob Brine

I often find myself drifting from this world.
Be it seconds or hours I leave without a sound.
In classes or crowded halls, no one sees me or where I go.
I go inwards, deep inside.
I'm no longer encumbered by the world that tries to break me.
I just fall.
I feel the warmth of love all around me.
It wraps itself about me with its gentle caress.
I look into its eyes and see beauty beyond description.
We fall together.
We sleep for what seems forever.
I feel accepted and loved by this thing that comforts me.
We understand each other without ever saying a word.
I slowly drift back to the reality that has left me cold.
No words are exchanged no tears are shed.
We say goodbye.
We just gaze into each other knowing,
Soon we will be back together.

"Every Single thing has its own unique beauty. People with autism get to cherish this beauty, as if it's a kind of blessing given to us. Wherever we go, whatever we do, we can never be completely lone.. more..
