Scene 1:
Place: Her own apartment in Massachusetts The
rain bore on endlessly, pounding on the rooftops and turning the sidewalks and
roads into vast lakes of dull, muddy water. Dark gray clouds covered the sky,
only letting a few rays of feeble sun slip past the barrier. The monotonous
sound of raindrops beating on the sidewalk blended in with the occasional
whoosh of the breeze through the treetops. Everything was bleak, gray, and
dreary - even the atmosphere. ---music playing in the background Beethoven
symphony 7 second movement. Lights dimmed on stage to convey a ‘end of the
world like atmosphere’’ ---
Amy (Amy is in her bed, she decided to take a ‘quick’ nap after
a tiring day at her school " The Massachusetts of technology. Suddenly a bright
flash of light streaked across the room, just a few seconds later, and a
roaring thunder awakes Amy from her sleep in a dramatic way)
Amy: ‘Ah!!!!!’ (Screamed Amy as she rocketed up straight in bed but
simultaneously lose balance and fell to the floor). ‘Ouch!’ (She looked around
but all she can see blur, She rubbed her eyes and can finally see again.)
Amy: (Groggy, hair all messed up, a side of the face covered
with dried drool and boogers in eyes.) ‘I’ll just take a shower….’ (Sigh* as
she helped herself up, she walked to the bathroom like a zombie.)
Amy: (She steps into the shower and begins to shower. She is
still like half asleep, as she continues to shower, a misplaced step slipped
and she fell hard to the ground, suffering a bump on her head.) ‘Not again,
TWICE in a row, bad luck today….’ (She protests in a frustrating tone). Suddenly
a she looked at the window and the shower, she had a revelation. It’s the classic
eureka moment in the shower type. The
music softens, then fades and the stage lights brightened.
Amy: ‘What if I can redirect the energy through a flux capacitor,
then it may just work! ‘Amy jumps out of the shower, grabbed a pen and a random
piece of paper, and began drawing the ‘y’ shape structure of her ‘flux capacitor’
