Heart Failure

Heart Failure

A Poem by Jaclyn

Your kiss gently drew at my heart,
Suckling at loving valves.
Atrophied muscles released with quivers,
Gasping in soft finality
Before failing me,
Paralyzed to resist your contagious sweetness.

I chose to read this lovely piece because of the title. I was recently in heart failure. Your kind of failure is much better than mine. Fine piece.

Now, see, it seems whole and complete to me....so I can't be of assistance in the completion thing. But I have to say I thought this was a wonderful piece. I loved that suckling at the heart valves....and the whole concept of the actual heart muscle being moved by a kiss. What a unique and wonderful way to put this. I am floored. It's just simply amazing and beautiful, and personally, I wouldn't change a thing!!!
