When Sharp Sounded So FlatA Poem by Jacky BonesAll thats left is the sound of a piano Its screaming so loud now I forget I'm writing poetry To its dying melody As I finish this verse I realize I am cursed To be wanting more Should have writen this before
Streaming lights in rows of four While chairs dance upon open floor There's a target, a target Oh baby do you get it, got it Oh to bad honey I'm sorry this isn't funny Oh honey bunny and the moon Oh this is such a small big room
Sound proof From head to roof The tiles acting as waves The contract is making me a slave Tick-oh-tock, tick-oh-tock Come on baby reset the clock I think its gonna brake my heart Because I just might brake its arm
Lockers with locks Lockers remain unlocked There's a paradox on every wall Crickets come to call They came in through my exit And leave as blessed As they came Outlets only give what's forgotten When apples turn rotten
Paper with secret notes for me they shroud themselves in mystery Now my poetry most end For the piano is dead Its cries still ring in my ears So I warn you beware Oh honey play like you did again Play for me like you did for them © 2008 Jacky BonesAuthor's Note
