A lighter Shade of Black

A lighter Shade of Black

A Poem by Jacky Bones
"

Is sometimes better then nothing

"

 I'll start with "Goodnight".

This would be the best.

If this wasn't a goodbye.

A sun rise,

Dies in my chest.

This ain't new.

Well maybe you.

Oh baby baby.

If I'm out of mind,

Am I out of sight?

I'm as high as a kite.

A peachy lime.

Lost dinner plans.

We were best friends.

We were best.

Gotta get this off of my chest.

Maybe I died.

Maybe you did to.

What do you imply?

That I should just let you?

You'll talk to me,

But I wont talk to you.

It's hard to see,

But maybe I'll wish you the best.

A sun rise in your chest.

Tonight is coming to a end.

A lighter shade of black.

Is sometimes better than nothing.

Got to get off track.

We were best friends.

Sometimes the hardest part is giving up.

Sometimes thats all you can do.

This is hush hush.

Goodnight

And goodbye

To you.
