It's About The Time

It's About The Time

A Poem by Jacky Bones

Sometimes I want to go up so high.

And gaze down at the city.

With it's lights shining back at me.

In the ever lasting sky.

Maybe I'll show up outside your window.

If you want I will stay below.

I could stick my heart on your ceiling.

If thats where I should be.

The days move on.

Just sing along.

Shout it out.

It was never what it was about.

Sitting on my roof top.

Thinking about giving up.

So I'll say goodbye.

To a town where the dead die.

We'll expose this fairy tale lie.

Me and these friends of mine.

Who I almost left behind.

With a blink of a eye.

The days move on.

Just sing along.

Shout it out.

It was never what it was about.
