Throne Builder

Throne Builder

A Poem by Jakob Dixon

What if i wasn’t destined
to became a throne builder
what if instead i destroyed it

I am not

i am cursed
not blessed

blessed is he who has no idols
I worship his feet
i broke my alabaster jar
and poured its contents upon them

I am his throne
He is the designer
i am his carpenter

He raised me up
to build myself
upon which
he settles
in my heart
as if my heart is
his throne
and my soul
is The Throne Room
